Greene County Chamber and Tourism reminds area residents that the deadline is Dec. 15 for nominations for the ABC (Above and Beyond the Call) Award.
The ABC Award is presented annually to an individual or couple who through their personal involvement, their leadership qualities and their unselfish gift of their time and talent, have positively affected activities or projects beneficial to the community at large.
Nomination forms are available by email request to chamber@greenecountyiowa.com, or at the Chamber office located at the Welcome Center at 201 E. Lincoln Way in Jefferson. Nominations should be returned to the Chamber office by Friday, Dec. 15, at 3 pm.
“This recognition is an opportunity to thank those who improve the quality of life for everyone around them,” a Chamber spokesperson said.
The award will be presented at the Chamber and Tourism annual membership meeting Jan. 18 at the Jefferson Municipal Golf Course.
